Google Talk allows you to do voice, video and text chat. But many people say that they don’t know How to do Video Chat on Gtalk. It is very easy.
To start a video chat on Google Talk, first download a Google Video Chat software installer. The size of this installer is around 550 kb.
After downloading, run the installer(remain connected to the Internet). Now it will download Google Talk Video Chat Plugin from the internet.
After installing the Plugin, Restart all your browsers(mandatory).
You can do the Video Chat only from Gmail and iGoogle account. It is not available for Google Talk.
Now Open your Gmail or iGoogle account and Sign in to the Chat.
You will see a small Camera icon before your name. It means you have successfully installed Google Talk Video and Voice Chat software. You can video chat with camera icon users only.
Now you can easily do Video or Voice Chat with anyone. Just click on his Name and a small pop up chat screen will appear at the bottom of the page. Click on “Start Voice Chat or Video Chat” option and you are ready to chat 
.
The Voice Chat option is also available on Google Talk. You just need to Call the user.
Note- The Video Chat will not work on Google Talk client. It is only available for inbuilt Gmail or iGoogle. So both the sender and receiver need to Sign In using Gmail or iGoogle accounts.

It is possible for video chat on gmail dude, but what about video chat in gtalk, I thought u were talking about video chat in google talk client.
It is still not available in Gtalk client.
When it comes to VOIP client I prefer Skype over any other alternative!
haveing downloaded , installed plug in………… no video chat is possible……………………………….. at all. I and many persons tried their best to get video chat……………….. but……………….. there is nothing……………………..Thanks High much………… my dear sir…………………………

NO WONDER people are confused, this is about as clear as the instructions/directions from google themselves.
Thanks yoyo I forgot to add client word. I made the clarification in th comments itself. Now updated the article. Even Video chat is not working properly. So i think Google is also failed in their directions.
