We all use Facebook, Orkut, LinkedIn, MySpace and many other sites but How many of us follow some code of conducts? Well I know there is no official rule available but still I think we all need to update them with some limits.
Here are the few things which I thought everyone will like and should agree with these rules.
1) Friendship Request- Its good if you want to make some new online friends as it increases your social circle area but make sure you send request only to the people who have similar likes. Another thing is that adding new friends will expose all your personal info details including photo, email and everything.
2) Professional Linking- Many of us specially Bloggers started using Facebook for building new contacts but LinkedIn is another good place and it is meant for professional users. So also be there and make new contacts.
3) Applications- Facebook Applications are famous for their uniqueness and good time pass specially Farm villa and Mafia wars but Do you know many of such tools automatically sends messages to all your profile friends and that’s irritates. Now a days there are many applications which are spreading virus and spam.
4) Messages and Wall Post- Well there is a big difference between messages and wall post. Message are private and it can only be seen by the recipient but If you write a status on others wall then anyone can look into it.
5) Poke- Facebook has a Poke your Friend option but many people don’t know about this. It is under the user profile page. But don’t poke your Professional friends like your Boss, it looks bad.
6) Office and Status- Many of us add our office Boss like project managers in their profile. Now suppose if you are updating anything which is related to your work but bad in some then it will leave a bad impression about you.
7) Behave- Whatever you write, make sure it is good and not abusing. Everything is public and anyone can access.
