Everyday when I check my mailbox, I find so many junk mails. Many times my good important mails find their place in spam folder too and its become too difficult for me to separate these emails.

Have you ever thought Why do get you get such mails? How these spammers find your email ID?

Well, I have seen many blogs, forums and social sites where these email address can be seen by everyone. There are many spy-bots which crawl these sites to extract ID.

Many bad sites also sell your email address. Shocked? But it is true. You use some mail to register on their site and they simply sell it to the 3rd parties for their promotional offers.

Here are the few basic ways to hide your email account ID-

1) Write in a different way- Try to write your email ID in a different way like tech[AT]example[DOT]com OR get[at]example.com. Never use @ symbol.

2) Convert email into an Image- This is very helpful. It will simply convert your mail into an image which can be only seen by a human. There are many site available for this like email2image.

3) Create a JavaScript code- Bots can’t read JavaScript. Its a good way to hide your mail. It encrypts the address try here.

4) reCAPTCHA Mailhide- reCAPTCHA mailhide method is a modern way to protect your email ID. Well it will show your partial email address to the visitors and to get the complete address, they need to fill a confirmation code. So how it works? They will generate a HTML code which you have to add on your site. When the users click on your mail, it will take him to the new page hosted on reCAPTCHA site and ask to fill the verification code. Google Groups also use this method. It is very effective.
