How to remove webpage or website from Yahoo search index

Yahoo also allows website owners to do easily this without much efforts. It is helpful if you want to remove 404 or duplicate pages.

To remove a webpage from Yahoo search-

1) First add a meta nofollow (<META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX”>) tag in the Head section of the webpage.

2) Then also add Disallow directive to the robots.txt file.

like Disallow: /page.html

Now next time When Yahoo Slurp bot will visit page.html, it will automatically delete it.

You can also do this through Yahoo Site Explorer-

1) Add your site to Site Explorer and verify it.

2) After verifying enter the site address into the Explore URL box.

3) Now click on the Delete URL/Path next to the page URL which you want to remove from Yahoo index.

4) Now it will ask about specific subdirectory, Just follow the onscreen steps.

5) And you are done :) .

    Dude, its highly tough to get indexed in Yahoo and why should someone try to remove their site from yahoo index.lol.
