Last Month Google acquired reMail. After the purchase, reMail is made open source and now developers around the world can join the Google code project. Earlier it was available on Apple App store as a paid software but now it is free. You still need to download it from App store.
What is reMail? reMail is an email application for an iPhone mobile and it offers full text email search option. It also works in less or no network area,so its an offline application too. It is faster and it returns perfect search results.
reMail occupies less iPhone memory space. 100,000 emails occupies around 4 GB space in a web based Gmail whereas reMail will take only 500 MB memory space for the same quantity.
Now it is free to download earlier it was a paid application. So now you only need to pay your Mobile network provider. But the bad part is that it only supports Gmail. It will soon become more feature rich. But I don’t think it will ever include Hotmail and Yahoo mail, since they are the rivals. Don’t forget to read the FAQ guide for more information about How it works and its features.
