Here is the comparison between a Desktop and Laptop computer-

Desktop Computer

1) A Desktop computer is bulky and large in size. It is immovable.

2) Desktop comes with on site support. It means- A company engineer will come to your home or a office to repair it. You don’t have to take it to the support center.

3) A Desktop is comparatively cheaper than a Laptop.

4) A desktop is more easier to upgrade and its part are comparatively cheaper.

5) A desktop is ideal for all types of users like Gamers, Software Developer, Home use and much more.

6) Desktop computer generally has longer lifetime and needs less maintenance.

Laptop Computer

1) Laptop is lighter in weight and it can be taken anywhere you want.

2) Laptop is an ideal computer for general use like internet browsing, creating documents, presentations, emails and more.

3) Laptops generally don’t come with on site support. So you need to carry it yourself to the computer support center.

4) Laptops have shorter lifetime and their up gradation is costlier.

5) Laptop repair cost and its product cost is almost double as compared to desktop.

But Today both Laptop and Desktop comes at a very cheaper price but still they have a large difference in their configuration.

A desktop with 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD and a graphics card comes at a price of $600(Rs. 30,000) whereas A Laptop with similar configuration cost around $700+(Rs. 35,000).

So It depends upon your requirements. If you are a gamer or a power user, then I will suggest you a Desktop.
