Old Mile Sur Mera Tumhara song was released on 15 August 1988 on Doordarshan channel. The song had 26 famous Indian personalities.

But the new Mile Sur Mera Tumhara song has 68 famous Indian personalities. The song is shooted on 15 different locations. The song has many famous Bollywood personalities like A R Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Shreya Ghoshal, Shankar Mahadevan and many other famous musicians.

The new song is titled as Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. The new song is divided into two parts.
