Facebook allows you to put Privacy control on the stuff you can share with other people including friends and other members. Its upto you to give access to someone.

Here is the way to keep your things private and confidential-
1) Click on the Lock (shown in the figure).
2) It will show you many options like Friends of Friends, Only Friends (only your own buddy’s can see) or Everyone (anyone can see).
3) There is one more option named as Customize. It gives you every power. There you can choose Specific People, Only Me or even Hide your stuff from specific people.
So you are the permission king. Make sure you don’t share sensitive details on the internet.
