Here are some basic tips to keep your email account safe and secure-
1) Public Computers If you are using a Public shared computer then don’t click Remember My Password option and after doing your browsing, make sure you clean browsers cookies, cache and session. Just check Browser Option for this. Always click on Logout button.
2) Gmail Now Gmail supports HTTPS protocol, earlier it was using HTTP. It will make your browsing more safe. Use strong password (combination of alphanumeric and special characters). Don’t click on Spam or Suspicious links. One Gmail ID can be used to access all Google account services.
3) Hotmail In Hotmail, the Use enhanced security is present below the Login form. Click on It. Remember that your one hotmail ID can be used for all Microsoft services including Windows Live services, Xbox Live. Hotmail is one of the oldest email service.
4) Yahoo Mail They use HTTPS mode, so it is secure. To keep yourself more protected use Protect Login. It will create Sign-In seal with your own image.
These are the few tips to keep you safe. Use strong Passwords for all accounts (combination of alphanumeric and special characters).
