Plasma TVs are all the rage but it's important to know what to look for when buying your new TV. Some Plasmas perform well with weak signals while others don't. Some Plasma look better hanging in your living room than others. How do you know which one is best for you. I've highlighted some of the best features of each below.

Here are some of the Best Plasma TVs:

The Samsung PN50B550 Samsung has definitely come a long way in plasma flat screens. There was a time when they were not so great in many ways. Color and contrast were off, they were often heavy and not very attractive. All of that has changed with their new models. This tv represents the 10th generation plasma product and is one of the best if not the best values in the television market.

The Panasonic Viera TC-P54S1. The picture quality of the 54S1 is exceptionally bright for a plasma TV. Black levels are very strong with an HD signal input through HDMI connections. While not the best I've seen, they lose the gray haziness that the S1 displays with a 480i signal. Color is brilliant and dark shadow detail remains excellent.

The Panasonic Viera TC-P50G10 offers an extremely bright digital picture for a plasma television. Black levels are somewhat lower with weak television signals and the contrast is competitive though not so great for a plasma TV. The beauty of the TV is it's main selling feature. The thin gloss frame with rounded edges give it the high tech look anyone would like to see in their living room. I especially like the graduated silver bar in the bottom of the frame.

My favorite The LG 55HL40 Plasma. This flat screen tv has all of the best features and comes with just about everything you need in a Plasma TV without the huge cost. The picture quality is perfect and the surround sound that comes with the TV will blow you away.
