Which is the best of Sony Bravia XBR Series for 52-Inch LCD HDTV? Buyers seem to think that the “XBR7” should be better model than the “XBR6” I'd say it depends, because hardware specs and especially the prices between these two models are quite different.

The good:

These following features are identical between the KDL-52XBR7 and the KDL-52XBR6, They both have superlative deep black lavel compared to other non-LED-based LCD TV. Color temperature and color decoding is accurate also comprehensive complement of inputs including four HDMI and one PC port. The Ethernet port on the rear of the set to view pictures and videos from a PC to display on the TV's screen, The bright lighting when compared with the plasmas and the Samsung LCDs, it did a better job of attenuating in-room reflections from the windows and light sources.

The bad:

They are also have common drawback which are: refresh rate at 240Hz offers only minor improvements to picture quality, screen reflection issue and they are very expensive sets.

The difference:

Besides the difference of prices,  We noticed that Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR6 has better grayscale variation than KDL-52XBR7, Bravia KDL-52XBR6 is also a better power saving TV. (272.63 Watts vs 285.68 Watts)  So we would  choose KDL-52XBR6 as the winner of this Sony family war.

The bottom line:

The 52-inch Sony KDL-52XBR6 LCD is a bit too expensive for the level of picture quality it delivers, but its styling and best-in-class black levels can send it to the top.
