Here is a step by step planner for making sure your party is done right!

4 -6 weeks before the party

Pick the theme, including games and activities.

Make the guest list.

Choose a date and time.

Decide on location – indoors, outdoors, home or different location.

Decide on timing of activities and games.

Order party supplies, including decorations, paper goods, plates, cups, napkins, tablecloth, wrapping paper, tape, piñata and party favors.

Book/Order the entertainment and/or location. Be sure to look over contracts and keep receipts.

3 weeks before the party!

Send out invitation, I include my email address (along with phone number) for responses and questions.

Go over directions for games, activities and crafts. Make sure you have every item you need. Purchase anything that is needed.

Ask for help from family members and friends. They can answer the door/phone, take pictures/video, help with games and activities, help with food/cake/ice cream, pass out party favors and clean up.

1-2 weeks before the party!

Check RSVP's, call or email if needed.

Confirm help from family and friends.

Get prizes/party favors organized and ready for the party

Order the cake and balloons.

Confirm entertainment/location.

Purchase film, batteries, videotapes, and backup disposable film.

Purchase birthday present, food and candy.

1 day before the party!

Wrap presents.

Prepare food ahead of time.

In the evening, when everyone is in bed, clean the house and set up the party spot. If you are having it at a different location and need to set up prior to the party, see if you can do it the night before. Otherwise, pack non-perishable items for the party by the door.

Day of the PARTY!

Pick up cake and balloons. If you are doing the helium yourself, make sure you give yourself enough time.

Get ready! Have Fun!

Don't forget to make time in the next few days to write thank you notes.
