You are suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, if suddenly you start feeling an increasing pain in the heel area at the bottom of your foot. Plantar Fasciitis is the disorder which happens when the plantar fascia, which is the ligament or band of tissues, running from your toes to the heel, gets damaged or stretched due to sports injury or stress injury. Also known as heel spur syndrome, you will feel a chronic pain especially after taking some rest and getting up from bed or when trying to walk. You need to keep plantar fascia as relaxed and stress free as possible. Some of the ways to do it is losing weight particularly if you are an obese. The increased weight falls directly on your feet and it leads to stretching of the ligaments in a bid to carry your weight.

If you are feeling a pain in the heel area, stop doing strenuous work, running, jumping, or playing basketball and such other games that involve too much of stress. Also, wearing bad shoes leads to this problem; so you must buy shoes that protect your toes and feet from disproportionate motion.

A month ago, some of my friends were asking whether plantar fasciitis gets healed by wearing shoes other than doing specific exercises and relaxation. Although some exercises, hot/cold treatment and arch support can improve this foot problem still one of the major factors aggravating the pain and inflammation is bad shoes. Get serious about your shoes. Ask yourself – what type of footwear you are wearing, for how long, and are they at all good for your foot?

MBT shoes can cure plantar fasciitis and give relief to people suffering from acute pain. At least the TV ads and hoardings say this. I have read many customers reviews who said they could now feel a difference in terms of improved health especially foot after wearing MBTs.

There are many shoes in the market which has a stiff middle. Podiatrists say these shoes can help in plantar fasciitis. However, rocker-soled or rocker bottom shoes are particularly helpful in this foot condition. Rocker soled shoes have a curved sole that imitates a rocker motion. One important point to consider – not all rocker soled shoes are the same. For example, MBT is an unstable rocker shoe wearing which you might start falling especially if you are a first time user. Actually, you feel off-balance as you start to walk or try to stand firmly due to the curved outer sole. However, the sole helps to reduce stress on plantar fascia by equally distributing your body weight. The other type of rocker bottom shoes is totally flat.

People bored of trying all kinds of treatments like surgery, physical therapy, night splints, etc. can try out MBT shoes. They can take all the strain out of your heels. MBTs are said to change the life of people for the better. It is only time which will tell whether you really benefit from such shoes or not!
