As for the RC drone enthusiasts, it is important to choose an excellent FPV camera to equip their drones. In this article, I will show you two outstanding products and do a comparison between them. Both of them are the AIO products. In other words, they have the three-in-one functions of FPV camera, transmitter and antenna. The analysis involves three aspects, including the FPV camera, the transmitter and the appearance design.
FPV Camera
In terms of Eachine EF-01 FPV Camera, it adopts a CCD 1/3 “CMOS sensor with M8 800TVL lens, which offers 150-degree FOV horizontal viewing angle and 170-degree DFOV diagonal perspective. Besides, it has an IR coated lens mirror with 2.1mm diameter. Except for that, it needs a power consumption of 380mA.
Compared with EF-01, Eachine MC01 FPV Camera has the lower configuration. Equipped a 1/3 “CMOS sensor with a 600TVL lens, it provides you with 120-degree FOV horizontal viewing angle and 150-degree DFOV diagonal perspective. The lens mirror diameter is 2.0mm and it needs a power consumption of 100mA.
Transmitter
Both of them have the same equipment of a 5.8G 40CH 25MW transmitter. However, they have different designs in two aspects. Firstly, EF-01 has a unique design of the light show. That means it will display two colors in different operating statuses. The frequency channel shows red, while NTSC/ PAL format shows blue.
Secondly, there are the differences in control buttons. For EF-01, it supports three kinds of button functions. First, short pressing within 1 second, it changes the channel from 1 to 8. Second, the long pressing time between 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds, it changes the bands A-B-E-F-R. Three, the longest pressing more than 3 seconds, it changes NTSC/PAL system. On the contrary, MC01 shows you the simpler operating way. It provides two operating ways of NTSC/PAL selection and channel selection.
Appearance Design
The biggest differences of their appearance designs are the size. Without calculating the antenna, EF-01 has a size of 26*20*18mm, while MC01 has a dimension of 25*18*19.7mm. Besides, they have the same weight of 8 grams.
Summary
In terms of the same designs, both of them have three-in-one functions of FPV camera, transmitter and antenna in a limit size. Besides, they have the same equipment of RHCP circular polarization clover leaf antenna. While considering the different places, EF-01 has a higher standard of FPV camera configuration. Besides, the button designs of two transmitters and their size are different from each other.
In short, both of them are excellent and worthy trying. Choosing which one depends on your need.
