The C5 is a Nokia candybar handset and this handset is available in white, which features a metallic silver band running around the unit's sides and in a dark gray colour. Telstra's Next G version of the Nokia C5 has been given Telstra's blue tick meaning better coverage in bush and country areas.

The keys on the Nokia C5 are good sized and there is a nice sized dialling display on the TFT display. The keypad is a breeze to use and has larger keys than other handsets on the market. The navigation pad is also a nice size.

The main menu is very similar to most Nokia mobile phones so if you've owned a Nokia recently the layout of the menus will be very easy to use. Texting, searching through your contacts and setting and personalising profiles on the Nokia C5 is oh so easy.

The C5's call quality is good though in very noisy environments it was difficult to hear the other person on the call. Nokia rate the battery of the C5 for 12 hours of talk time and quotes up to a massive 26 days of standby time although it should be remembered that these figures would have been obtained in ideal conditions.

The C5 will accept microSD memory cards to expand its memory and store morre photos or music, has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB for data transfer and a 2mm Nokia charger port on the top of the handset.

The C5 also features a forward facing VGA camera for video calling. Conference calling for up to three parties, voice dialling and smart dialling are all features of the Nokia C5.

The handset has a basic 3.2 megapixel camera that lets you take photos and video recordings while the built-in LED flash has a range of about 1.5m.

The C5 comes with a 2GB microSD card that has pre stored on this memory card the installation file for the Ovi Suite program. This saves you from having to download this file so you are able to use the included data allowance of you mobile phone plan for Facebook updates, Tweets, emails or internet surfing.

If you want a good basic handset with some extra smartphone features then Nokia C5 is worth of considering. The handset is neat, compact, easy to use and comes at an affordable price.
