Toyota Etios is the new red hot favorite in the auto circuits. The car was launched at the Delhi auto expo in 2010. It is looked upon as strong rival to the Tata Indigo CS, Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda city and the Indigo CS. It has flexible variant options in the Indian market with a petrol engine. In fact the craze for the Etios is so much that the company had to delay its own Toyota Liva model by a couple of months.

Exterior: The exteriors bring a huge smile with its attractive grille giving the luxury feel. This spark in the grille is a sure shot with the Indian audience. The kits are really titillating which a plus in the Toyota Etios. The body tone is maintained even for the door parts and the mirrors. It looks a serious machine with its shoulder line and the cut at the bottom corner. The wheels are yet another feather in the cap with metal alloys. The headlights and fog lamps complement the entire outer body.

Interior: The inside is a contemporary fashion which is definitely in vogue. There is enough room for a comfy feel. The instrumental compartment is over the central AC giving a mean look. The driver steering is multi colored as with the entire interior comforts. It surely has more breathing space compared to the Maruti Swift. You will never lose track with the trip and speed meter which is under the instrument panel. The AC vents are circular with good upholstery seating compared to other cars with an equally complementing dash board.

Safety- The safety is nothing short of a James bond movie innovation. It comes with advanced safety measures like Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Dual SRS Airbags and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The general features like Power Windows, Power steering, Dash integrated music arrangement, Steering mounted audio controlling system, Rear wipe or a washer, Rear defogger, Steering adjustments are a full proof safety to any one inside this car.

Engine- Toyota Etios currently arrives in just one engine variant. It delivers 90 ps at 5600rpm and a peak torque of 132 Nm at 3000rmp in the domestic market. The fuel efficiency of this car is quite appreciable, which seems to be the X-factor to most Indian customers. It gives a mileage of 17.6 kmpl as per ARAI reports.

The price tag of Etios starts from Rs. 5, 07,000 and going up to Rs. 7, 01,500. The Toyota group also hopes to a diesel version of the Etios in the near future. Toyota Etios comes in Vermilion Red, Serene Bluish Silver, Symphony Silver, White, Harmony Beige and Celestial Black.

The Etios is not for the show off man but for a customer who is looking for a car worth the money. The Etios may not outright grab your eyeballs but you will sure want more as you get used to it. This is one machine is tailor-made to the domestic feel with a mind blowing space, comfy, mileage and the easy drive.
